COTA Annual Luncheon

Client: Central Ohio Transit Authority

Project Years: 2014 -2017

The Challenge

Ten years had past since COTA hosted a luncheon for its’ stakeholders.  Green Roots was hired to oversee the planning and implementation of a project that not only celebrated what COTA has accomplished but to introduce and solicit feedback on the future of public transportation in our community. In 2014, the purpose of the luncheon was to re-introduce of COTA and its recent CEO, Curtis Stitt to the community and build constituent support moving forward for the NextGen plan. The challenge in subsequent years was to build and enhance each luncheon to keep it fresh and relevant for attendees.

The Solution

Green Roots developed a comprehensive project plan to help guide COTA’s planning team and provided an onsite Project Manager to lead team meetings and ensure all tasks were executed and deliverables met on time and on budget.

Because COTA needed to have strong messaging on all levels, we helped refine all elements of the scripting, collateral, and both internal and external communications to ensure alignment with brand and desired event outcomes.  As a part of our project scope, we took the lead on helping storyboard and overseeing production for all videos produced each year.

The Outcome

For four consecutive years, Green Roots has helped business and local leaders, public transit executives, and community at large become informed, excited, and engaged in the great work being done by COTA and its leadership in shaping public transit in Central Ohio
